How is the midpoint of a line calculated?
To find the midpoint of a line, use the following equation:

Where x1 and x2 are the coordinates of one endpoint of the line and y1 and y2 are the coordinates of the other endpoint. Adding the 2 coordinates in x, dividing this result by 2 and doing the same with the coordinates in y is that the coordinates of the midpoint are obtained.
Example of calculating the midpoint of a segment
Calculate the midpoint of the segment that starts at the point (-2.7) and ends at the point (8.5)
To solve, you must add the coordinates in x, in this case (-2 + 8) and divide by 2, you get 3 as a result.
The same must be done with the coordinates in y, in this case (7+5) and dividing by 2, the result is 6.
The coordinates of the midpoint are (3,6)
